The remaining teams will be split into two groups of four for the Super Eight stage. The top two teams from each group are then guaranteed a place in the semi-finals.
The purpose of this updated structure is to foster competition and provide more teams with a global platform to unleash their potential. It also promises to present unexpected detours on the road to cricket success.
12 teams representing established cricket powerhouses and developing countries have already confirmed their places in the 2024 T20 Cricket World Cup.
Regional qualifiers held by the ICC will determine the qualifier schedule for the remaining eight competing countries.
